As we enter into summer there is much to be hopeful about. Our newest building is nearing completion allowing one of our tenants, Medisca, to consolidate their business in a brand-new state of the art facility. The electrical and mechanical preparation work continues to make ready for long-lead equipment delivery and installation. The interior continues to progress with racking scheduled for delivery and set-up in August.
While summertime is usually not our most active period you might have noticed our first Park Perks event of the season last week. TDC is hosting a monthly “Food Truck Friday” for our tenants and neighbors. The hope is to give everyone a chance to get outside and mingle with each other. We have such a great diverse group of businesses and colleagues within our Parks. What better time of the year to step out of the routine and get to know each other.
TDC continues to look to the future and this year is no different. We continue to look for opportunities to expand our footprint by purchasing new land, replace outgoing board members with individuals positioned to strengthen our organization, and build on staff skills. Finally, the news of Nova Bus exiting the USA market and leaving Plattsburgh was not good news, but be assured the Plattsburgh region is resilient. We will do everything we can to support the employees and families impacted by this loss as we look to expand existing businesses and attract new opportunities. I hope you all take time during the summer months to get outside with family and friends to enjoy the great north country region.
