New York State inherently understands the needs of small business.
Small businesses employ more than half of New York’s private sector workforce, so it is no surprise that Empire State Development (ESD) established a Division for Small Business. The Division directs a broad array of programs to support the development and expansion of small businesses with under 100 employees.
The Business First Resource Center provides a one-stop database for many state resources, but to speak with someone about your specific small business needs, please contact New York State’s Small Business Division at (800) 782-8369.
A not-for-profit economic development corporation, AEDC is a cooperative effort of community leaders from towns in the northern Adirondacks. They work to foster the growth of North Country communities through support for existing and new small businesses.
