It’s the end of another year with big changes occurring at TDC! As always, the start of a new year brings great promise for our organization and the region. This year will be my final year at TDC. The last five and half years have been rewarding for me and hopefully for the organization. Saying goodbye to my colleagues at TDC and around the region is bittersweet. I’ve had the privilege of working with many great people, getting involved in positive economic developments, and growing as an individual. I am confident the organization is in a good place with leadership prepared to do great things in 2025.
In 2024 we saw the completion of our newest 60,000 sq ft industrial building and the continuing growth of Medisca in our Banker Road Park. We sold land to Champlain Shipping and welcomed them to our Champlain Park. The completion and opening of the Clinton County Business Innovation Gateway was completed with excitement about what could be next for the former Clinton County Airport property. We have continued to look at providing state-of-the-art facilities for our tenants, including upgrades to our fire protection system in building #23.
I want to welcome Renee McFarlin to TDC. Renee joined as then ew Director of Business Development. She brings a wealth of experience in economic development to our organization, and we are very excited to have her on the team. She will adopt some of the duties of Dani King who is transitioning to the leadership role at TDC as President and CEO.
During the last five and a half years I have had the pleasure of working with Dani, who has proven herself to be a capable driver of economic and workforce development. I look forward to watching and cheering on the TDC team as they continue to be a key driver in economic and workforce development in the region. May you all take the time to enjoy the holidays with family and friends and Happy New Year!
