Plattsburgh, NY – TDC (formerly known as The Development Corporation) is excited to announce the addition of Renee McFarlin as the new Director of Business Development. In this new capacity, McFarlin will be responsible for helping further the mission of TDC, to foster an environment that creates and retains quality jobs and investments in the community.
In her role, McFarlin will assist in the planning, initiation, implementation, and administration of programs to attract industries to locate or expand within TDC’s industrial parks and the greater North Country. Building upon her extensive knowledge of the region, and TDC’s international network of partnerships, McFarlin will be a driving force for manufacturing growth.
Before joining TDC, McFarlin served as the Senior Economic Developer for Capitalize Albany Corporation, working on the planning, development, and implementation of strategic initiatives for the Corporation and City as well as managing in-house grant programs with awards of over $2 million to over one hundred grantees. Prior to her work in Albany, she was the Director of Economic Development for Clinton County, and we at TDC are thrilled to welcome her back to the North Country.
An enthusiastic advocate for community, McFarlin was the recipient of the 2023 Woman on the Rise Award from the Albany Business Review for her contributions to the Albany region business community as well as being named in City and State’s 2023 Albany 40 Under 40, recognizing her contributions to economic and small business development in Albany and the North Country. She also holds a J.D. from Rutgers School of Law.
