TDC recently completed construction on a new 60,000 SF industrial spec building on Industrial Boulevard in Plattsburgh, NY. The completion of this building brings TDC’s inventory of leasable industrial space to 19 buildings spanning over 700,000 SF. The expansion of their inventory was done to continue to meet demands of the growing manufacturing sector in Northern NY.
“We are pleased to be in a position where we can provide additional space,” comments TDC President & CEO David Champagne. “The growth of our local business community is great for our entire region, and we are delighted to be a part of their success.” TDC is known for their well-maintained industrial buildings suitable for light manufacturing and distribution. Their newest building is no different, boasting a total of 60,000 SF broken into 20,000 SF units with both dock and drive-in doors. With 26 ft ceilings, tenants will have ample room for a variety of activities as well as racking to maximize vertical space.
Since breaking ground last spring, the North Country’s Luck Builders have been collaborating closely with TDC’s facilities and project manager, Roger Livernois to keep this large-scale project on schedule. “The whole design team; R.M.S. Architects, Jeffords Steel and Engineering, and the crew at Luck Builders have worked together to keep this large-scale project on time and on budget, providing another quality building to TDC’s portfolio,” comments Livernois. “We look forward to all of the opportunities that this building will allow for its future tenants.”
TDC’s executive committee celebrated the completion of the new building by taking a brief socially distanced tour of the site. “We are so thrilled to have been able to complete this project on time, during a pandemic,” comments TDC Board Chair Nate Wilson. “And being able to lease it so quickly after completion, speaks to the continued growth of businesses in the North Country.”
