In June, we welcomed Olivia Bousquet as an intern to support our marketing team. She has been a tremendous addition to our staff, and we are sad to see her go. Fortunately, she is a student at SUNY Plattsburgh, so she’ll be able to visit us in the future. She stayed exceptionally busy over the course of nine weeks learning about what TDC does, the greater business community, and about economic development. We are grateful to have gotten to work with Olivia and are excited about what her future holds. Read more about Olivia’s time with us this summer.
We also celebrated the completion of our newest 60,000 SF building on Industrial Boulevard. Our Executive Committee was able to take a brief tour inside the building, gaining an appreciation of the massive warehousing space. This building has been occupied since early March, and we are excited to be a part of the growth of businesses already established in the Plattsburgh region.
Most recently, we celebrated 60 years at our annual tenant appreciation golf outing at Adirondack Golf & Country Club. 13 golf teams participated, and fun was had by all. We are grateful to Adirondack Golf & Country Club for their continued hospitality year after year. We were thrilled to have so many participants this year, and to connect with colleagues old and new in person over 18 holes of golf.
Our workforce grant program continues to gain momentum, as we have already awarded funds to manufacturing companies to aid in investing in continuing education for their employees. Learn more and apply today.
With fall around the corner, and no sign of slowing down, we are anticipating a strong finish to the year. We look forward to the re-opening of the Canadian border and continuing to work towards a sense of ‘business as usual’.
