The start of a new year always brings new hope. This is especially true in 2021. While we continue to navigate through very difficult times due to COVID-19 Pandemic, we are also entering a time of great hope with the approval and distribution of life-saving vaccines. As we turn the pages of our calendar, we are also turning the corner on this challenging time. Having spent 34 years working for Pfizer, I understand the hard work that goes into developing vaccines and value of life-saving medicines. I am proud of the work put forth by my former employer and look towards the transition back to unrestricted operations.
As we look forward to a new year, full of hope and opportunity, I would be remiss not to acknowledge the challenges that this past year held. Last year was certainly a trying one, and we would like to recognize the efforts and ingenuity the businesses in the North Country expressed in 2020. Our operations were not immune from the chaos that the pandemic incited. Fortunately, our staff rose to the occasion and with the support of our board, we were able to continue to serve our current tenants and work to bring prospective businesses to the area.
Our office is full of hope and optimism as we embark on a new chapter of the organization, with a name change and innovation of our brand, and as we reflect and celebrate 60 years of business supporting investments in Northern New York. As exemplified in our own organizational history, we are capable of overcoming adversity, and I know this year will be no different. We believe that TDC and our region is positioned for success in 2021 and look forward to continuing to collaborate across the community.
