This fall, TDC welcomed four new community members to our Board of Directors. These individuals, Scott Allen, Michael Boulrice, C.J. Madonna, and Carrie Harvey-Zales, all bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our organization. We look forward to working with them as they help to shape the future of TDC.
For those of you who may not know these individuals, we took some time to get to know a little bit about them.
Scott B. Allen, LS, is the Managing Partner at AES Northeast, an architecture, engineering, and land surveying team local to northern New York and Vermont. He began his career as a licensed land surveyor in 1984 and has been providing surveying, mapping, and land use planning services to the North Country ever since. He is a founding partner of AES Northeast, formerly DE&LS, formed in 1988.
Outside of work, you can find Scott paddling Adirondack lakes, rivers, and flows in his ultra-lightweight Hornbeck Kevlar solo canoe.

Favorite part about your job?
I enjoy the challenges that each new project presents. No two projects that come in to my office are exactly alike.
Little known fact about yourself?
My youngest child was born in our car, on the side of the road, on our way to the hospital.
What’s exciting about being a part of TDC’s board of directors?
I’m looking forward to helping TDC develop a strong succession plan that will keep TDC at the forefront of local job creation and development for generations to come.
Michael Boulrice is a Certified Public Accountant. He and his business partner, Stephen Wood, share their talents with the community through their practice Boulrice & Wood CPAs PC.
Outside of work you can find Mike outdoors - cheering on his kids at their sporting events, camping, or just enjoying nature.

Helping our clients. Many times it’s the little things that they appreciate.
What’s exciting about being a part of TDC’s board of directors?
Getting to learning more about this long-standing organization and helping in any way that I can.
C.J. Madonna provides General Counsel for Schluter Systems LP.
Outside of work you can find C.J. spending time with family and friends, golfing, traveling, and spoiling his grandkids.
C.J. also shared:
Favorite part about your job?
It presents new challenges everyday – my work is far from mundane. As General Counsel to the company, I am presented daily with issues of diverse nature. I get the opportunity to work on expansion projects in different states, support Canadian operations, and interact with outside counsel on interesting topics such as immigration, intellectual property, pricing, Canadian employment, and the internet to name a few.
Little known fact about yourself?
Each August my wife, my sister and our families travel to Little Italy in the North End of Boston for "Feast of Mary and the Fishermen".
What’s exciting about being a part of TDC’s board of directors?
I look forward to this opportunity to get to know other members of the board, support local initiatives, and share my experience in Town and Municipal development issues.
Carrie Harvey-Zales is the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction for Plattsburgh City School District. When she’s not working, you can find her spending time with her family, kayaking, camping, reading, and hiking.

Favorite part about your job?
My favorite part of my job is working with teachers to build capacity and consensus to move our district in a positive direction. Students are the reason for the passion I have, and their energy brings me great satisfaction.
Little known fact about yourself?
I am a big fan of Jon Bon Jovi and love going to his concerts. I’ve been to many of his concerts over the years.
What’s exciting about being a part of TDC’s board of directors?
I am looking forward to assisting the Education Committee in identifying ways that we can create pathways for employers to build employment capacity.
Anything else about yourself that you’d like to share?
I have two great sons - Mason 17 and Carter 16. They are the center of my world and make me a better person.
