In celebration of Manufacturing Day (MFG Day) 2020, the North Country MFG Day Committee is excited to announce this year’s virtual event connecting area high school students with local manufacturers. MFG Day was created to inspire the next generation of ,manufacturers and showcases the many rewarding career opportunities that exist in today’s modern manufacturing space.
November 17th-20th, students from Clinton, Franklin and Essex counties will attend live virtual tours and Q&A sessions to get a first-hand look at innovative manufacturers; Norsk Titanium, Mold-Rite Plastics and Camso.
Amber Douglass, NCMFG Day Committee Member and ETS VP of Strategic Operations stated, “While it’s difficult to replace the interactive in-person experience we have worked hard to create in the past, we are thrilled with the experience we have brought to life this year. Adapting to a virtual model, the live tours we have lined up for participants will offer a taste of this action-packed industry, inspiring them to start thinking about a career in manufacturing and giving them the resources to be successful.”
Frank Butler, Skill & Knowledge Administrator for Mold-Rite Plastics stated, “Mold-Rite Plastics is very pleased to be participating in this year’s event! We are excited about sharing information with the local students in our community to drive awareness to the different manufacturing career opportunities that are available to them in their own backyard.”
Sherry Snow, CV-TEC Student Services Coordinator and NCMFG Day Committee Member stated, “CVTEC is proud to be part of the 2020 North Country Manufacturing Day. The scheduled events will provide our local students the opportunity to learn about the manufacturing companies in our community and identify careers in today’s most advanced, high-tech industry in the country. Our goal is to help local manufacturers build a steady pipeline of qualified talent to help build and support our local economy for
decades to come.”
This event would not be possible without the help of the North Country Manufacturing Day Committee:
ETS Staffing & Recruiting Agency, Ready4Real, CV-TEC, North Country Chamber of Commerce, North Country Workforce Development Board, The Development Corporation, and Clinton Community College.
