TDC’s Board of Directors has been working to cultivate a staff to best serve the mission of our organization. In 2019 we welcomed a new President/CEO, Business Development Manager, and a Digital Marketing Specialist.
As President and CEO, David is responsible for the staff and operation of TDC. Foremost, David’s position is meant to generate jobs within TDC’s business parks and the surrounding region. To achieve this goal, David works with the staff and Board of Directors to engage community agencies, government officials, higher education institutions, and local and potential businesses. By bringing the right players to the table, TDC can help to build strategies, identify areas of opportunities for new growth, find space for expansion of current business, and increase the availability of a trained workforce. David oversees and manages fiscal affairs of the corporation, including development of an annual budget, and acts as the chief communicator to the local community and media. David resides on several regional boards working towards job creation in the North Country.
Previously, David worked for Pfizer where he retired after 34 years as the Managing Director, Strategy and Transitioning Sites. In his role, David had operational responsibility for transitioning sites, partnered with the Business Development Team in site divestitures, and worked with the Pfizer strategy team on network strategy for Pfizer Global Supply. He has extensive experience in organizational design, operational excellence, and colleague development programs. He worked closely with government agencies and representatives at all levels, both domestically and globally.
David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from SUNY at Plattsburgh. He and his wife have raised three children.
David’s favorite part about the Adirondack Coast is the four-season outdoor recreational opportunities. He is an avid runner, cyclist, and skier. During his free time, you can find him outside enjoying the region.
Cheryl’s friendly face is the first one you’ll see when visiting our offices. In her role, she helps to direct calls and visitors, maintains records from official business, and ensures that the office is properly decorated for the appropriate holiday. Cheryl is also a point of contact for TDC tenants, helping to organize and fulfill maintenance requests. She has been providing support to the staff and board of directors since 2016. Previously, Cheryl worked for Hospice of the North Country and West Bay Associates in Mental Health. In her role at each of the organizations, she provided critical support to office operations. When Cheryl is not in the office she can be found spoiling her grandchildren or hanging out with her two dogs Swisher and Zoey.
Cheryl’s favorite part about the Adirondack Coast is getting to experience all four seasons, especially the fall with all its glorious colors. Born and raised in Lake Placid NY, Cheryl enjoys visiting and partaking in events in the area all year long.
Christine has been a part of TDC’s team for over ten years. Beginning her tenure as bookkeeper, she has since been promoted to her current role of Comptroller/Office Manager. Christine manages invoicing, payroll, employee benefits, and works with the CEO and Board of Directors to maintain TDC’s finances and oversees the annual audit. She also coordinates all IT and Human Resources needs for the organization. Outside of the office, Christine serves as a Daisy/Brownie Girl Scout Troop leader as well as Treasurer for both North Country Alliance Church and Girl Scout SU 421.
Christine is a graduate of Clarkson University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. She lives in West Chazy with her husband, five children, and two dogs.
Christine’s favorite part about the Adirondack Coast is spending time outside with her family, especially gardening, hiking trails, and swimming at the various beaches in the region.
Danielle brings her passion for economic development to TDC. As Business Development Manager, Danielle works with partners to attract new industry to the greater Plattsburgh region. In conjunction, she facilitates resources to support the retention and growth of investment and quality jobs in TDC industrial parks and in the community. Danielle works with TDC’s North Country partners to support well-rounded workforce development initiatives in the region. Collaboratively, they assess gaps in the labor pool and work diligently toward solutions that benefit both the industry and individuals in the workforce. Previously, Danielle worked for the North Country Chamber of Commerce. Here she served as the first Director of the North American Center for Excellence for Transportation Equipment (NAmTrans) organization, providing resources and working to connect the North County’s growing transportation equipment and aerospace industry cluster.
Danielle holds a master’s degree in community and economic development with a concentration in workforce development through SUNY Empire State College. She is a member of International Economic Development Council (IEDC) Young Professionals Advisory Committee and serves on the Community Advisory Board for Mountain Lake PBS. She lives in Burke, NY with her husband, son, and pets.
Danielle’s favorite part about the Adirondack Coast is visiting the many great orchards and farms. Especially the “kidding day” events in the spring (she’s a sucker for baby goats)!
As Facilities and Project Manager for TDC, Roger manages everything from snow removal to capital investments to supervising construction projects for the organization’s business parks. Roger is responsible for requesting bids, awarding contracts, and managing capital improvements for TDC properties. He also plays an integral role in business development, showing available properties to current and prospective tenants helping them expand or start new ventures in TDC facilities. Roger strives to exceed the expectations of tenants by providing quality facilities and infrastructure and supporting the mission and vision of the organization.
Roger has worked in facilities management for over 30 years. Starting his career as an electrician, Roger has since specialized in the maintenance of a variety of complex systems including boilers, HVAC, and heavy equipment and holds various certifications including asbestos removal and EPA certifications in refrigerant handling. Prior to working at TDC, Roger was the Director of Maintenance/Facilities at The Alice Hyde Medical Center where he managed 25 buildings with a combined total of approximately 270,000 square feet. Every building was maintained to comply with the regulatory requirements of NYS Department of Health, NFPA Fire, and Life Safety Codes. His duties also included managing the facilities staff, annual budget, and the capital improvement budget for the entire organization. Roger has been instrumental in maintaining tenant satisfaction at TDC business parks by managing routine maintenance and repairs and completion of Capital Improvement Projects at TDC owned facilities. When Roger isn’t taking care of TDC tenants, he can be found helping take care of the community as a volunteer EMS/Firefighter for the Owls Head – Mountain View Fire Department or enjoying a ride on his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Roger’s favorite part about the Adirondack Coast is enjoying all the outdoors has to offer while fly fishing, hunting, kayaking, and riding his motorcycle throughout the region.
Having been with the organization for over 10 years, Barbara is vital to the day to day operation of TDC. In her role as Executive Assistant, Barbara provides administrative support to the President and CEO as well as the Board of Directors. She is also instrumental in helping to plan and execute company events.
Prior to joining the organization, Barbara served as the Emergency Services Coordinator at the North Country Chapter of the American Red Cross. She is also a graduate of the North Country Community College’s Licensed Practical Nursing program. Barbara worked as an LPN for seven years before entering the administrative field. If Barbara isn’t helping to organize TDC staff, meetings, and files, she can be found volunteering at church and in the community or spending time with her grandchildren.
Barbara holds an associate degree in Human Services from Clinton Community College.
Barbara’s favorite part about the Adirondack Coast is the abundance of beautiful scenery.
Alyssa joined the staff most recently, filling a new position for the organization. Her expertise is used to support business development and tenant relations through the TDC website and newsletter. Alyssa is working to develop an online presence for TDC and strengthen the brand in the community with the goal to attract and retain businesses to the Plattsburgh region.
Alyssa comes to TDC with six years of experience in marketing and communications. Most recently, she served as the Associate Marketing Coordinator for a world-class engineering services and testing company in Buffalo, NY. Her experiences in copy creation, design, and social media strategy make her a fantastic addition to the TDC team.
Alyssa is a graduate of Ithaca College where she earned her Bachelors and Masters of Business Administration.
Alyssa’s favorite part about the Adirondack Coast is the proximity to a variety of destinations to explore. From ski lifts to shopping, hiking trails and orchards, there’s always something fun to explore.
